Barre is a form of physical exercise inspired by ballet.
Barre delivers a full body, low impact workout. It's great if you are recovering from an injury but also for combining with other forms of exercise like running, weight lifting or cycling because they strengthen the muscles needed for these exercises without being too stressful on the body.
The individual elements created for you at the barre are movements from ballet and focus on high reps of small range movements.
These will sculpt your body by strengthening and lengthening your muscles adding tone and improving your posture.
It creates a movement of the heat in the body through optimum blood circulation and this way produces a sense of deep warmth helping the body remove toxins through perspiration. Reducing tension and stress.
Using Vipers and Kettle bells we will be delivering a class that will be using functional movement patterns to improve control, strength and lay down efficient movement patterns.
Our small classes bridge the gap between individual and larger group sessions allowing them to be tailored to all abilities. With more individual attention and adjustments, you can really focus on your alignment and posture. Our yoga style here at Studio Zest is Ashtanga.
